THE IMPORTANCE OF CHANTING

Chanting is a huge asset for strengthening and enriching one’s spiritual life.  It is proven to help with meditation as it calms the heart and thereby slows one’s thinking and allows for greater concentration.  Opening the heart through chanting devotional songs also facilitates the rise of the spine’s energy to the third-eye or the point between the eyebrows.

Chanting, especially in today’s hectic world, allows those who have busy lives to more easily enter into an inner retreat of stillness.

I hope that those living in the area including Paradise Valley, Livingston, and Bozeman will be able to make it down to Emigrant to chant with us.

The following chants are of me singing songs from chants written by Paramhansa Yogananda from Cosmic Chants, 1938.

What Lightning Flash
My Krishna Is Blue
O God Beautiful
When My Dream’s Dream is Done
I Give Thee My Soul Call
Deliver Us From Delusion
Light Thy Lamp
Thousands of Suns
Do Not Dry The Ocean of My Love

The following are traditional Indian chants

Ragupati
Hey Govinda

The following is a musical adaptation from a poem written by Paramhansa Yogananda
